In Greek mythology, Maenads were the female followers of Dionysus, the most significant members of the Thiasus, the retinue of Dionysus. Their name literally translates as "raving ones". Often the maenads were portrayed as inspired by him into a state of ecstatic frenzy, through a combination of dancing and drunken intoxication. In this state, they would lose all self-control, begin shouting excitedly, engage in uncontrolled sexual behavior, and ritualistically hunt down and tear animals (and sometimes men and children) to pieces, devouring the raw flesh. During these rites, the maenads would dress in fawn skins and carry a thyrsus, a long stick wrapped in ivy or vine leaves and tipped by a cluster of leaves; weave ivy-wreaths around their heads; and often handle or wear snakes.

Whoever's in this photo - whether it be you or someone you know - I love their expression. It almost fits with the little history you've given in the artists comments. I love the background, the woods, it's almost soft, not even blurred. On the left, she looks as if she's in a trance, but the left displays more emotion, even though you can't see her face. Her tattoos just add to the emotion.
I have no strong feelings about the blood on her lips. I think the piece would be equally nice with or without it. as for the dress, it's an excellent choice. I would've liked to see her in maybe some jeans and a worm t-shirt, as well. Anything works. She's very beautiful.
Her hair makes her look a pixie in the left one. Ah, I just really like both photo's. Like I said, they look marvelous next to each other.
The only thing I would comment on in a negative manner is that the blood seems to be very photoshopped and doesn't look as realistic as one would hope. It distracts the viewer from the look in the models eyes, and the eyes are responsible for communicating a great deal of the mood that you were shooting for.
Overall, excellent work with one minor misstep in post-processing that distracts from an otherwise brilliant set.
